BODIES OF WORK
This is a showcase of choral singing, poetry reading, dancing, and more, featuring various artists in the Olympia area, put on by Moving Parts Dance. All of these works, in one way or another, explore the spectrum of sensation that accompanies being in a body. It is a conscious grappling and a spirited display of the itch, the ick, and the holy euphoria we find in our physical forms. Born to "work", we protest this productivity paradigm and challenge the waning attention span by being, together. Come support these generous artists! Space is limited and early arrival is encouraged.
Moving Parts Dance is a movement studio offering adult dance education to the community at large with an emphasis on embodied research and the queer experience. Moving Parts Dance is also home to a company of dedicated performance artists.
