This event will review the lineage of anti-jail and pre-trial detention organizing in NYC starting with the construction of Rikers as a reformers project, all the way to the current borough based jails plan and the citys latest proposal to expand the NYPD Training Academy (what is being called Queens Cop City.) The first hour will be a teach-in and the second will be strategizing how we can respond to the QCC.
