35 Years Taller Presents Martin De León
Acclaimed Tango singer Martin De León will appear at El Taller Latino Americano on May 2, paying tribute to the musical venue where he made his New York City debut appearance at the start of his career.
Celebrated throughout Latin America, where he is known as the "Pavarotti of Tango," De León most recently performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador. Well known for his multifaceted interpretation of the Tango, which reaches deep within his soul and roots, De León incorporates new composers with new perspectives while honoring the classics he so admires and respects. DeLeón has performed all over the world and in the United States, he has appeared in venues across the country, from Carnegie Hall to the Houston Astrodome.
"Argentine tenor Martín DeLeón has quite simply one of the finest voices I have ever heard for Tango and Latin American popular music." JOSEPH McLELLAN - "THE WASHINGTON POST
