Join Rosecrance Behavioral Health and Newport Academy for a professional development workshop.
Therapeutic Recreation Workshop:
Therapeutic Recreation training allows participants to engage in various activities used at Rosecrance for behavioral health treatment for adults and adolescents. Treatment modalities include DBT mindfulness skills, visual arts, expressive arts, leisure education, and nature based interventions. Attendees also learn how to incorporate these techniques in their settings in practical
ways that have a positive impact on an individual's ability to assimilate information.
Speakers: Abby Nelson, MS, CTRS, CADC, Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator
and Paul Fasano, MA, CADC, Recreation Therapist.
The training is provided free of charge and includes refreshments and materials.
3 CEU's will be provided. Capacity is limted to 40.
