Join us at the Tucson Marriott University Park as we host Susan Allen Ford (in person) and Candice Hern (via Zoom) for a day of Jane Austen and Regency discussion. A buffet lunch will be served midday along with social time and door prizes.
Susan Allen Ford is Professor of English Emerita, Delta State University, USA. and has been editor of Persuasions: The Jane Austen Journal and Persuasions On-Line since 2006. Her presentation will discuss her new book What Jane Austen's Characters Read (and Why)
Candice Hern is the bestselling author of traditional Regency & Historical Romances, novellas, and short stories, all set during the English Regency period. In her presentation, Ladies Magazines of the Regency Period, Candice will explore what a woman of the Regency, like Jane Austen, would have read to keep abreast of social and political news, fashion, literature, and theatre.
Cost of event is $40 per person. If you are bringing a guest please make sure to select 2 tickets in the quantity or have them purchase a ticket separately.
