Cadet Bootcamp

Sunday 6:30am-8am
Thursday 6pm-8pm
*PLUS* (Optional) Tuesday 9pm-11pm watching scrimmage & game play discussion

This FULL contact skate program is designed to train participants how to engage in Roller Derby game play safely. Curriculum is centered around the goal of being drafted to a WFTDA team/league where they can play the sport of Roller Derby. In addition to on-skate practices, participants will have opportunities to learn about the rules and game play strategy in group discussions.

Participants must already be "Contact Ready", exhibiting proficiency in minimum skills: Crossovers, transitions, backwards movement, stopping and falling safely.

Skaters who are not ready for the level of contact will be encouraged to enroll in New Skater Classes, beginning September 12th, to further develop their skills. Cost of enrollment in Cadet Bootcamp will be credited to the Fall New Skater class.

Skaters who join the Cadet Program will need to have WFTDA(roller derby) supplemental insurance in order to participate in contact drills. Insurance can be purchased at: https://wftda.ps.membersuite.com/
Your insurance will be valid for 1 year.
*Please note the WFTDI* site is a different website than the WFTDA* informational site.
*Skaters who had WFTDA insurance through their leagues must also have personal WFTDA insurance coverage
