String Phone: Kazuhito Nakae. NicoÂ has a boyfriend who has gone abroad, and she hardly gets through to him on the telephone. They are rarely able to connect by phone. One day, Nico finds a string phone for an international call.

Permute: Lydia Fu. our existential heroine, Lulu attempts to discover a cryptic fate that she is only able to solve through the oblique vignettes of a film noir cityscape. Lulu journeys through a surrealist world fraught with mystery, anxiety and apprehension.

Double Features: Chihiro Wimbush. One night at an art-house cinema a brokenhearted young man waits for a date that never shows and a lonely projectionist mourns the past while dreaming of a better future. Together, they find that at the movies, anything can happen.

I DonÂt Sleep I Dream: JP Chan. A woman leaves the scene of a horrific car accident she's caused, only to realize she's left a part of herself behind. Nominated for Third Eye Award
