Theatre Gigante turns Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream on its head in MIDSUMMER IN MIDWINTER, written by Isabelle Kralj & Mark Anderson, and directed by Isabelle Kralj.
The mayhem of the original Midsummer -- with its themes of love, marriage, appearance and reality, order and disorder -- is turned into a farcical, musical, hybridical, theatrical convivial night, at the hands of the Gigante artistic team.
MIDSUMMER IN MIDWINTER will be told through dialogue, song, and movement, in the typical Gigante style, featuring Deborah Clifton, John Kishline, Isabelle Kralj, Mark Anderson, Molly Corkins, Megan Kaminsky, Evan Koepnick, Bo Johnson, Edwin Olvera and Jessie Mae Scibek, with music created by Frank Pahl, and songs performed by Amanda Huff and Daniel Mitchell. Lighting and Scenic Design by Eric Appleton.
