Music at Trinity presents: Music of the French Baroque
The majesty of pre-revolutionary France - think the Palace of Versailles and the opulence of the Sun King, Louis XIV - was the Age of Absolutism, with France at the height of its military power and artistic influence. The music of the period was of equal stature: it comes to life in this splendid musical offering, North Carolinas renowned early music orchestra collaborates with Queens Universitys internationally award-winning choir on a program of masterpieces from the French Baroque, including Charpentiers exquisite Messe de minuit pour Noel.
