Seattle Business Monthly presents its second Book Salon Series event with John Wood. In his book LEAVING MICROSOFT TO CHANGE THE WORLD: AN ENTREPRENEUR'S ODYSSEY TO EDUCATE THE WORLD'S CHILDREN, Wood tells of buying a one-way tickets to Katmandu in search of a more meaningful life-and how he found it in the empty libraries and poor schools of the developing world. His new memoir tells of how he left Microsoft and applied his business acumen to his nonprofit startup, Room to Read, with incredible success: they have just opened their 2,500th library and donated their millionth book.
