Stripped
"Stripped" is a feature-length documentary on comic strips, how they're created, and the people behind them - featuring the first-ever recorded interview with Bill Watterson of Calvin & Hobbes. The film sits down with over 60 of the world's best cartoonists to talk about comic strips, where the art form's going, and what happens to it as newspapers die and digital takes off. Featured interviews include: Matt Inman (The Oatmeal), Jim Davis (Garfield), Cathy Guisewite (Cathy), Lynn Johnston (For Better or For Worse), Greg Evans (Luann), Bill Amend (FoxTrot) and Kansas City's own John Glynn and Lee Salem of Universal Uclick/Andrews McMeel Universal. Set to original music by bassist Stefan Lessard of Dave Matthews Band featuring Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, Dave Matthews Band trumpeter Rashawn Ross, drummer Eric Fawcett and DJ Logic, the film is a must-see for comics fans.
John Glynn is the President and Editorial Director of Universal Uclick and GoComics.
Lee Salem is the recently retired President Emeritus of Universal Uclick, a part of Andrews McMeel Universal in Kansas City.
