A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra (and More!)
New World Ballet is happy to present "A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" at Piner High School. This production will feature the original composition A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, Op.34. Originally composed in 1946 by Benjamin Britten, this educational production will take the audience through the different components of the traditional orchestra.
This production will be approximately 1 hour long.
The first act will be A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.
The second act will feature repertory pieces from the New World Ballet Company.
New World Ballet is a Black-owned nonprofit organization (501c3) that prioritizes bring diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility into the dance world and provide access to professional quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to students who desire to become professional dancers, as well as those who simply wish to enhance their quality of life through dance.
