Terrain, an East Bay dance and performance collective, is proud to present Three and More. Ruth Botchan, Mary Reid and Ann Swigart, longtime members of Terrain, will present two performances of choreography inspired by fond memories, the realities of aging, travel, abstract beauty and more.
These three choreographers have been combining their creative efforts since 2000. Their choreographic experience spans decades. Ruth Botchan Dance Company will present Composition XII reflecting the abstract imagery of the famous painter, Kandinsky. She will also premier a piece to J.S.Bach's Italian Concerto played live by pianist Bruce Loeb. Mary Reid is creating a movement-based piece using music she used to listen to on her turntable. Ann Swigart will dance a new piece inspired by travels to New Orleans
