YAM24 Kewaunee, Unconventional Expressions: Art Brut Sculpture & Painting Free Workshop.
Explore the bold and raw artistic world of Jean Dubuffet in this 3-hour open art lesson. Embrace the essence of Art Brut as young artists dive into painting their own 6" to 8 miniature paper mache clay covered Styrofoam sculptures inspired by Dubuffet's iconic 'Four Trees' and 'Le Cirque' pieces. For the more advanced artist, using low temperature hot glue and readymade 3D pieces, create a unique sculptural interpretation before freely painting them as you desire. Encouraging individual expression, this session invites participants to channel Dubuffet's avant-garde spirit, celebrating creativity untethered by convention.
Event is for students in 6th through 12th grade.

The rhythmic pulse of creation resonates
Within the exploration of paper mache sculpture,
A medium intertwining freedom, curiosity, excitement
With every crafted piece, tangible and alive.
Beyond the tangible, passion extends
To psychology, human development, trauma healing,
