The Witch and the Glitch
The Witch and the Glitch shines a comical light on love and loneliness, exploring them in an entertaining, endearing and thought provoking way. A witch, frustrated at her inability to create lovers who actually love her, struggles to let go of her anger and emerge from her loneliness. A paragon, enthralled with his own magnificence, learns he has potentially fatal vulnerabilities. Two curiously conjured lovers are magically prevented from gazing at each other and torn with fears of what they might see if they could. All desperately seek help from a higher source. This charming fable for grownups is filled with laughs, catchy tunes and love.
Bottle Tree Productions' Studio Series was created to give Kingston playwrights production support for their original work. Collaborating with Kingston directors, actors and designers, we are happily into our second season of plays for adult audiences!
All plays are set to run in one act (75 minutes or less) and are hosted in our own Bottle Tree Studio in St Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
All of the studio series shows are partnered with a local musician or group and we proudly feature their music before and after the show. Musicians are paid a percentage of ticket sales, and all other artists are paid on a profit-sharing model.
