Jazz In The Kitchen
Friday November 24 at 7:30pm and Saturday November 25 at 3:00pm.
We're happy to announce two sessions of great music by two of Canada's best jazz musicians, Mark Eisenman (piano), and Mike Murley (saxophone).
An engaging, lyrical saxophonist, Mike Murley is one of Canada's most celebrated jazz artists. He has played on fourteen Juno Award-winning recordings. Mike has appeared at several Jazz In The Kitchen concerts over the last eight years.
Mark Eisenman is a master of the beautiful sound of the jazz piano stylings of the 50s and 60s, and he's first call for jazz artists who come to Toronto. Mark has played at all fifty-five Jazz In The Kitchen concerts.
Mike and Mark just released a new CD titled 'Recent History', with four duo tracks, and seven Murley/Eisenman compositions joined by Neil Swainson on bass and Terry Clarke on drums.
Here's the room: The Kitchen.
All of the Jazz In The Kitchen events sell out fast.
Guests are invited to bring along something to drink. We will provide glasses. All proceeds from the door go to the musicians. Admission is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
We're in the Beaches area of Toronto. Ample free street parking. A short walk up from the Queen East #501 Glen Manor Drive stop, or a quick #64 bus south from Main Station to Williamson Road.
On Friday November 24 the door opens at 7:00 pm, and the music starts at 7:30. On Saturday November 25 the door opens at 2:30 pm, and the music starts at 3:00. Please be on time. We are sure you will enjoy the 56th and 57th Jazz In The Kitchens.
