Intro to Trim Carpentry

In this class we will cover the basics of trim carpentry, including some hands-on experience installing trim in our tiny model house. There will be a brief discussion/lecture period where we talk about types of trim, considerations for selecting trim materials, what tools are needed, and how to plan out your work ahead of time. With the remaining class time we will dive in and get some hands-on experience cutting and installing window and door casing and baseboards.

The fee for this class is based on a sliding scale between $40 - $60 and includes a $20 fee for materials.

Cancellations and Refunds: If you have signed up for a class but are unable to attend, please email info@westphillytools.org to cancel your enrollment. For cancellation requests received at least one week before the class, we will either issue a credit towards a future class, or refund the full ticket price, less service fees collected by Brown Paper Tickets (typically $3 - $5 per ticket). We are unable to guarantee credit or refunds for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the date of the class, although we will do our best to accommodate late cancellations if we are able to fill your spot. Tickets are transferable; please notify us prior to the class at the above email if someone else will be attending in your stead and provide the attendees name and email address.
