On the Verge, or the Geography of Yearning, by Eric Overmyer
"On the Verge, or the Geography of Yearning" by Eric Overmyer follows three Victorian explorers on their intrepid, hilarious, lyrical journey bushwhacking their way through the last unexplored lands on the globe: Terra Incognita. As they travel together with staunch courage, keen observation, and proper Victorian sensibilities, it becomes apparent that this is no ordinary journey. Their friendship is tested as these lady travellers encounter trolls, psychics, yetis and...Cool Whip?  Ultimately they acquire new words, manners, fashions, and intuitions that take them beyond their wildest imaginings.

This production is lovingly dedicated to the memory of RMC theatre alumna, Sarah McFather.

The RMC Theatre department warmly welcomes guest artist Tennessee Dixon, who is designing and creating innovative projections on our new state of the art system.

CAST includes Kathleen Acree, Kali Bickford, Justin Giles, Aaliyah Hartwill, Kira Hogan, Chelsea Shaul, Rodman Shook, Ryan Sullivan, Kaylee Traylor, and Michael Wright.

PRODUCTION TEAM includes Dr. Jan Powell (director), Gregg Hillmar (set and light design), Lily Chapman (assistant director), Brooke Foster (stage manager), Katie Dodge (costume design and construction), Grace Wunder (props, assistant stage manager), Tennessee Dixon (projection design and creation), Andrew Kiss (sound), and Cynthia Lynn Smith (mask design and build).

Performances are at 7pm Wednesday through Saturday nights for two weeks, from Nov 1-11, at the Cobb-Kesler Theatre on the campus of Randolph-Macon College, at 205 Henry St, Ashland VA 23005. There is no charge for RMC community members (student, faculty, staff) but you must reserve your ticket to make sure we have a seat for you. Tickets are $10 for General Public, with a $2.09 service fee per ticket. Or, General Public may pay $10 at the door IN CASH if you prefer to avoid the service fee, but if the performance is sold out you will not be guaranteed a seat.
