Come join us for a weekend to make friends, have discussions, go hiking, and celebrate the Frugal Life with Mr. Money Mustache and JD Roth.|
We are three MMM forum members from Portland and Seattle who have rented out a giant wooden lodge on the edge of a lake in Central Washington.
There are private cabins for large families, a large dining hall, miles of hiking, a fishing dock, a basketball court and a firepit. There is also free (spotty) wifi.

Can I come just for the day?
We decided against offering day passes as we felt it would go against the spirit of the retreat. If you read this far, you're probably awesome so we want you to come for the entire weekend.
How much are children under 6?
Free! Just please list their names in your ticket information so that we can make sure they have a bed.
Can I get a private bed?
The lodge we are renting is used for summer camps, so it has 2 bunk-beds per room. If you're coming with 3 or 4 other people, we may be able to put you all in 1 room. If you're coming alone or with a friend/partner, please expect to share a room.
Likewise, we have a couple private cabins which we are reserving for families or large groups.
Can I camp?
Camp Lakeview does have a few campsites, and we may be able to set this up. Please note that it won't be cheaper to camp. Send us an email and we'll see what we can do.
Who is hosting this?
That would be us! Kristin, Joe, and Emma. We are all longtime readers of MMM and are really excited to share a weekend with other readers.
Is this a for-profit event?
Absolutely not. Every penny of your ticket is going towards the lodge, the food, and misc expenses. Joe, Kristin and Emma are volunteering their time.
How many tickets are there?
We have room for 50 people. Depending on how many kids and families sign up, we may have a room for a couple more. We will open up a waiting list when all the tickets are sold.
Are the tickets refundable?
No. However, if we do have a waiting list, we will happily refund your money or put you in touch with someone from the waiting list.
Can I bring my canoe/kayak/fishing stuff?
Can I come for the day or for 1 night? How much will that cost?
Great question. Our primary goal is to make this affordable and to meet as many people as we can! So email us your specifics, and we'll see what we can do.
