Locavore Corps Dinner--April 2009
Do you want to take ethical eating to the next delicious level? Join us on the first Wednesday of each month for the Locavore Corps dinner series.
We'll gather for good food, good conversation, and concrete tools for creating change from farm to fork. Chef Leif Hedendal will present a three-course vegetarian menu sourced from small local producers, while Buy Fresh Buy Local will lead a discussion on our regional foodshed past & present, and offer ideas and tools for local food advocates. Guest speakers on food & sustainability will also be featured.
ABOUT: Buy Fresh Buy Local is a project of the Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF). The campaign helps eaters find and choose local products while building relationships between growers, food artisans, farmers markets, retailers, restaurants, and institutions. His resume includes Citron, Greens Restaurant, and Imprevist in Barcelona, and he currently serves as chef-ringleader of several underground dining clubs and happenings.
