Burt Dow, Deep-Water Man
Ben Meader will read Robert McCloskey's "Burt Dow, Deep-Water Man," one of his most widely read books in this family-friendly event held in the Boat Shed at the Boothbay Sea and Science Center's new home at 12 Carter Road in East Boothbay. The reading will be accompanied by the music of Halcyon, a string quartet. The event begins at 7 p.m. and will be preceded by a cookout from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with a choice of hamburger or hotdog, green salad, chips, dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage.
PARKING: Due to limited parking at the Boothbay Sea and Science Center, we ask that you park in the parking lot at Hodgdon Yachts Green Shed located on Murray Hill Road a short walking distance to the Center. There will be volunteers at the parking lot to guide you.
