MONTCLAIR WRITERS WORKSHOP
Montclair Writers Workshop (MWW) is a weekly, in-person working group led by writer, artist and futurologist Emmy Schwab.
THE GOALS OF MWW:
Provide an accessible, inclusive and professional community for writers of all disciplines, genres and formats. Foster an ongoing cycle of consistent production, constructive feedback and positive affirmation. Encourage a holistic writers consciousness, examining personal cognitive behavior patterns, aesthetic/thematic identities and beliefs/attitudes around publishing (or not publishing) work.
HOW IT WORKS
One writer will volunteer to share approximately 10 pages with the entire group, to be sent digitally no later than preceding Thursday at 12:00 PM ET. The writer may include a few notes about what they are looking for feed-back wise (what challenges they are having, when/where they want to publish, etc.). At the end of each class, another writer will volunteer to provide pages for the following weeks critique. MWW asks that no writer go twice before every writer goes once; that no writer goes thrice before every writer goes twice, etc.
