Session Americana - 8:00 show

Session Americana is celebrating their 20th years and we are thrilled to have them kick off our 5th season in style.

Sometimes referred to as a rock band in a tea cup, or possible a folk band in a whiskey bottle, Session Americanas top-shelf musicians always deliver an amazing show, and our Vinalhaven crowd loves their performances in our intimate space. Their rowdy, fun, genuine style brings a kind of ease to their timeless music, and always fills Skål with magical sounds and joy.

On stage is a vintage suitcase recast as a kick drum, an old Estey field organ, a harmonica case fire damaged when Jacks bar went up in flames and graffitied by Depeche Mode roadies, plus an assortment of other instruments that get passed around between the musicians in a freewheeling modern hootenanny.

Get ready for another remarkable evening created by these consummate musicians-Ry Cavanaugh, Billy Beard, Dirty Child, Jim Fitting, Jon Bistline.
