Yucatán, A Love Letter
It's no secret my love for my home town of Merida Yucatán. Its a place I love dearly and miss daily. One of the strongest ways for me to connect with home is cooking the food I grew up eating. The Yucatán is special because its cuisine is like no other in Mexico, it is the ultimate slow food. Full of depth, flavor and surprises. Join me on April 16th for a traditional lunch that you would eat in Merida. I will be cooking one of my favorite meals of all time, Frijol con Puerco. I'm looking so forward to sharing this experience with you all.
Menu:
botanas -sikil p'ak -charritos -totopos -crema de ajo
lunch -frijol con puerco with traditional accompaniments (avocado, onion, radish, cilantro, lime, tortillas by Nixta) -arroz negro -salsa de tomate con habanero
dessert -polvorones
Beer & Wine included As well as some N/A option
