Spring Concert Benefit presented by Bloom and Plutarch for Refugees
Please join the choral group Bloom and Plutarch for Refugees as they host a Spring Concert Benefit to support a recently arrived refugee family from Afghanistan.
Bloom (55 voices) The B2s (9 voices) and Perennial ( 9 voices) are Community Voice Ensembles founded and directed by Musician, Composer, Arranger and Choral Director Debbie Lan. Started in 2007 with the only requirement being a love of singing, Bloom has grown to 55 voices strong. Both Bloom and The B2s have performed at many local venues and events in the Hudson Valley. Perennial is a new voice ensemble who debuted at The Rosendale Farmers Market and Unison last year.
The ensembles sing a variety of original arrangements of uplifting, joyful, and family friendly songs.
The local, volunteer charity Plutarch for Refugees was formed in response to the Afghanistan refugee crisis following the takeover of that county by the Taliban in 2021. Plutarch for Refugees supports a family of 8 from Afghanistan, now resettled into our community, and 100% of the funds raised from this event go will to directly to the family.
Traditional Afghan food and local baked goods will be for sale at the event.
This is an OUTDOOR event so please bring your own chairs, seating or lawn blankets to enjoy the concert.
