Slices of Life
Dance Up Close/East Bay presents Angela Demmel & Dancers in Slices of Life at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center.
A window, a cake, a door. You are invited to eat, laugh, cry and think your way through the sometimes tender and often heart-breaking journeys we take with one another.
Slices of Life muses on the myriad relationships that make our lives dynamic, rich, somber, bizarre and dear through detailed and lush full-bodied dancing. The evening will be a culmination of over three years of choreographic exploration, sharing Angela's range, breadth and depth as a dance maker.
Performers: Josie Alvite, Claire Calalo, Angela Demmel, Erin de Leon, Jessica de Leon, Elizabeth Morales and Stacz Sadowski with a special appearance by dancers from the Moreau Catholic High School dance program.
