Miracle Mile Art Deco Walking Tour

Join the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles when we take a step back in time - - literally - - on our signature walking tour of L.A.'s iconic Miracle Mile! Born in the 1920s, this brainchild of A.W. Ross was conceived as a street to rival the great boulevards of Europe - - elegant and spacious, populated by stylish shops- - and the chicest people! (And this being Los Angeles, plenty of available parking!) A.W. Ross's dream has developed into one of the country's most famous urban enclaves - - featuring a treasure trove of Art Deco
architecture.

This sidewalk safari is led by Eric Lynxwiler, coauthor of "Wilshire Boulevard Grand Concourse of Los Angeles."

The tour begins at the Stiles Clements-designed, black and gold terra cotta bank building at 5209 Wilshire - - come join the ADSLA and explore neighborhood block by block to see what the area was, what it is and what it will be!

Comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunscreen and water suggested. 2-hour metered parking available in the area. Please read signs carefully.

Non-members: $15 per person. Proceeds from our walking tours fund our landmarking of historic buildings!
