Berks Movie Madness Film Festival: "Bram Stoker's Dracula"/Jim Steranko
Monday, October 9. 7 p.m. $5 admission. Virtually everyone knows the legend Francis Ford Coppola, who directed this movie about another well known legend. Far fewer get to work with Coppola, as did Reading's own legendary culture maven, Jim Steranko, who was the project conceptualist for "Bram Stoker's Dracula" and two other Coppola films. Steranko has also worked with the likes of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. This $40 million 1992 film stars Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves, Anthony Hopkins and Winona Ryder. Steranko, equally well known for his comic art (Nick Fury et.al.), will be on hand to answer questions. Dr. Robert Metzger will emcee. Come out and meet this well-kept local secret and creative genius, Jim Steranko, who runs Supergraphics based in Reading. Visit www.berksmoviemadness.com for more details on the films, the festival and the personalities.
