Countdown to Yuri's Night with 9 pm Burlesque Space Show

Countdown to Yuris Night, a one-night extravaganza of other-worldly magnitude. This event combines visual art, performance, and music to celebrate SPACE.

Every ticket includes the party, a band performance, DJs, a burlesque space show, an art exhibition, and much more.

Over seventeen visual artists will exhibit work that celebrates, reflects, and imagines space, from hard-core science to the low-brow culture. Get a sneak peek at the art exhibition online at www.outofthisworldparty.com.

The band, Atomic Mosquitos, is comprised of rockin mutants that play infectious surf music sprinkled with the spacey sound of a theremin. With songs like Alien Round-up and Planet from Outer Space, Countdown to Yuris Night could not blast off without them!

The Burlesque Space Show has an all-star line up: Trixie Little and The Evil Hate Monkey, Baltimore's Award Winning Acrobatic Burlesque SUPERDUO!; Miss Saturn, and her 40 orbiting rings (hula hoops); Lil Dutch, DC-based burlesque artist rocketing to stardom and producer of The Dutch Oven; Bambi Galore, DC's Blonde Burlesque Bombshell; Sugar Ann Spice, a cosmonaughty space traveler within the DC/Baltimore burlesque universe; and Dieter's Dance Party Drill Team, a troupe of uniformed femme fatales with an avant-garde approach to drill team performance, inspired by the military, pom pom squads, sci-fi, and the NYC Rockettes.

Other highlights include a Weird Science Fair, an Alien Egg Hunt, DJ P.Vo on board throughout the night spinning inter-stellar tunes that will bounce your moonwalk.

April 12, 1961 Russian Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin embarked on the historic first manned space flight. Twenty years later on April 12, 1981, the US launched the first space shuttle flight. We think that's something worth celebrating! Every year around April 12th Yuri's Night parties are held all around the world; it's like the St. Patrick's Day or Cinco de Mayo for space. Since April 12 falls on Easter Sunday, and Saturday is a better party night, this year ABJ Productions brings you Countdown to Yuris Night.
