First BREAD! KC of 2014: Featuring soup by Todd Schulte of Genessee Royale and Uncommon Stock
BREAD! KC is back!
We've missed you SO MUCH, so we hope you'll join us on Sunday, March 9th at Farm to Market Bread Company for the first event of 2014.
At long last, we're partnering with Kansas City's soup guru, Todd Schulte. Yes, this is the man that used to deliver his handmade soups to dozens of hungry Kansas Citians before he opened Happy Gillis Cafe & Hangout in Columbus Park. He's since moved on to open his second restaurant, Genessee Royale in the Stockyards District, and is making serious strides with his latest soup venture, Uncommon Stock. The guys knows his soup...and we couldn't be more excited about the deliciousness he's whipping up for us.

BREAD! IS A PUBLIC DINNER DESIGNED TO USE COMMUNITY-DRIVEN FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO DEMOCRATICALLY FUND NEW AND EMERGING PROJECTS.
AT EACH BREAD! KC EVENT, PARTICIPANTS PAY AN ENTRANCE FEE FOR WHICH THEY RECEIVE SUPPER AND A BALLOT. DINERS WILL VOTE ON A VARIETY OF PROPOSED CREATIVE PROJECTS THROUGH A MENU AND PRESENTATIONS. AT THE END OF DINNER, THE ARTIST WHOSE PROPOSAL RECEIVES THE MOST VOTES WILL BE AWARDED FUNDS COLLECTED THROUGH THE ENTRANCE FEE TO PRODUCE THE PROJECT. WORK PROGRESS WILL THEN BE PRESENTED DURING A FUTURE BREAD! KC EVENT.
SINCE OCTOBER 2010, WE'VE AWARDED OVER $15,500 IN MICRO-GRANTS AND SPONSORED 16 DIFFERENT ARTISTS AND CREATIVE ORGANIZATIONS.
