VERMICULTURE WORKSHOP
Come learn how to compost with worms! Vermicomposting is a low maintenance composting system that utilizes red wiggler worms to transform food scraps into a nutritive soil amendment.
Join presenter Rick Kaye to learn how to set up and maintain a basic backyard worm bin and use the worm castings as compost or liquid teas in your garden. Rick founded The Compost Club in 2003, which has since helped 15 local schools and businesses compost their waste onsite.
Composters available for purchase at SHED, or learn to make your own!
To ensure a class running at SHED, we must fulfill a minimum requirement of attendees.
