Hands On: Bridge Sculptures
Artist Glenn Kaino's installations, Bridge (2013) and 19.83 (2013) are inspired by a key moment in American history, when Olympic gold medalist Tommie Smith raised his fist atop the ceremonial podium in 1968. Bridge is made from a series of casts of Tommie Smith'S arm and fist. How might you build a bridge? Participants are invited to turn paper materials into inspirational bridge sculptures.
