PLAY DESCRIPTION This witty and buoyant comedy of manners is brilliantly plotted from its effervescent first act to its hilarious denouement. Men-about-town, John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities. The Importance of Being Earnest is a classic of high comedy, sparkling with provocative observations.
Directed by Amy Fox
ABOUT OUR THEATER The Studio Playhouse is a 130 seat, 7 row theater. All seats are pre-assigned when your order is received, eliminating the need to arrive extra early to the performance. We fill the center section first, and then the sides. Every seat is a good one in our cozy theater.
