CityDance Presents Alex Neoral's Focus Cia de Dança
Fresh off their NY premier at The Joyce Theater, Alex Neoral's Focus Cia de Dança, comes to CityDance for a one night only performance of "As Canções Que Você dançou Pra Mim" (The Songs You Danced For Me.)*
In 2012, through CityDance's Brazil Project, Neoral hosted and set work on the Conservatory's high-level students. CityDance is are thrilled to welcome him back and to open this powerful, moving production with our CityDance Conservatory dancers performing Robert J. Priore's "Going Nowhere<Getting Somewhere."

"One of Brazil's most heralded dance companies makes its U.S. debut at The Joyce with 'As canções que você dançou pra mim' (The Songs You Danced For Me), a romantic romp set to the music of Grammy Award-winning Brazilian singer-songwriter Roberto Carlos, whose fifty-year career, starting with his Elvis Presley-influenced songs, has made him a true Brazilian legend. Spanning the years from the 60's to the 90's, the songs create the perfect backdrop for the four pairs of dancers who act out an enthralling narrative in this musical scene."
