Gastronomie 491 and 12 Percent Imports Present Winter Warmers
We all need to warm up this winter, and while a nice stretch of 70 degree days seem well, distant, you can take your mind off of terms like Polar Vortex for a couple of hours with an event that will pair some of the best cheeses and beer available in NYC. Please join us Tuesday March 4, from 7-8:15 at Gastronomie 491, 491 Columbus Avenue (between 83rd and 84th) for a tasting of six awesome cheese and beer pairings. Maggie Fuller of 12 Percent Imports will select and lead the discussion of the beers, not all of which will be 12% ABV, but a few might be. Martin Johnson, the Cheese and Beer Buyer at Gastronomie and author of the The Joy of Cheese blog (thejoyofcheese.wordpress.com) will select and discuss the cheeses. Good times will ensue. Cold weather will feel far away, at least for an hour or so. Tickets are $20 and afterward, you can buy the beers and cheese you liked best without setting foot outside.
