Paquita: Act II & Other Works

Centennial Youth Ballet presents Paquita: Act II & Other Works April 21-23 at the Z. Alexander Looby Theater. Join us for the bold and technically challenging classical ballet choreography in Paquita's celebration scene, staged by Katie Eliason and experience the versatility of our young dancers in original pieces by Aaron Allen, Jr., Emma Morrison, and Daniella Parisot. Allen's contemporary ballet piece interweaves intricate groupings of dancers through dynamic movement and driving rhythms. Parisot's contemporary ballet piece en pointe focuses on the beauty of line and innovative partnering. Morrison's contemporary piece co-created with the dancers shows an intimate portrait of family life. The performance reflects the range of ballet and contemporary styles being performed by professional companies across the nation and is sure to broaden the horizon of dancers and audiences alike!
