Women of Vision Share the Light Benefit Auction
The Women of Vision 2009 Benefit Auction will be held Friday evening, April 24, 2009 at Portland's Historic Governor Hotel.
The silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner, live auction, and entertainment at 7:20 p.m.
Tickets: $80 per person ($35 tax deductible) Table sponsorships (10 tickets): Classic $800 or Gold $850
Gold Sponsors receive two tickets to a private pre-event reception with Rich Stearns from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Library on the Second Floor of The Governor. Early check-in is available at 5:00 p.m. on the Third Floor. The event welcomes special guest Rich Stearns, President, World Vision, U.S. Enjoy the "fiddle genius" of David Klinkenberg. Master of Ceremonies: Mike Donahue of KOIN Local 6. Announcer: Holly Resnick of Fox 12 "Better TV". Auctioneer: Johnna Wells.
Proceeds from the Share the Light Auction will support the work of World Vision in Mongolia, helping abandoned, abused, and runaway children who live in tunnels under the streets of Ulaanbaatar; in Cambodia, bringing healing and hope to children rescued from the sex trade and for children living on the streets; in Mozambique, bringing AIDS prevention education to 700,000 at-risk youth and adults; and in Honduras, providing a microenterprise program for the entrepreneurial poor, mostly women seeking a better life for their children. Women of Vision is also committed to helping in our local community and supports The Children's Relief Nursery in North Portland as they bring help to children ages birth to four at risk of abuse and neglect.
The amount of your ticket/table purchase is tax-deductible minus the $45 ($60 for Gold sponsors) cost of meals consumed by you or your spouse.
