Recovery Empowerment Network Presents: Stand Up for Mental Health
"Normal" is boring and these local comics will prove it! Join the Recovery Empowerment Network (REN) and friends as we share humor and celebrate neurodiversity. Stand Up for Mental Health (http://standupformentalhealth.com/) and its founder and comedy coach David Granirer, encourage us to overcome stigma by demonstrating the misconceptions and stereotypes of mental illness. The featured comics will take us on their personal journeys with taking meds, seeing counselors, getting diagnosed, and surviving the mental health system.
