From the Ground Up: A Stairwell's Field Trip

The fifth Stairwell's Field Trip, From the Ground Up, is a walking tour that explores stairs and related structures in North Oakland.

From the Ground Up will take place on Sunday, March 2 from 11 AM to 2 PM in North Oakland.* This outdoor group excursion, led by Stairwell's co-directors along with guest Field Trip leaders Elizabeth Bernstein, Kari Marboe and Stacy Martin, will cover East Bay history, esoteric rituals, geology, pyramid architecture and more.

What's Along the Way:
Secret histories, hybrid spaces and unexpected views
Presentations and group activities from 3 guest Field Trip leaders
A picnic lunch (BYO or purchase food nearby)

* Participants will be notified of exact meeting location the week before the Field Trip.
