After accidentally running his car into a ditch during the middle of a thick fog, Michael Starkwedder finds himself walking into the middle of a murder. Richard Warwick has been shot dead and everyone in the house - including Michael - is doing everything they can to keep the police from suspecting his pretty widow who seems all too ready to confess.
