Come out for a great night of dancing to a live 16 piece Big Band!! Hear the best swinging tunes from the 1930's and 40's.
This is a rare treat to get a big band playing for us at FatCat Ballroom!

About the band:
Led by the former USAF Band Airmen of Note lead trumpeter, the Bruce Gates Jazz Consortium Big Band is a hand picked, 16 piece ensemble of the "creme'-de-la-creme'" of the Valley's music scene. With an emphasis on top shelf musicianship, the band eschews the typical "stock" charts heard so often in favor of custom, forward-looking arrangements of standards and jazz classics, and rare, historically significant, seldom heard big band classics.
For this performance, the band will present the music of the White House Dance Orchestra. Many of these fantastic, swinging manuscripts have not been heard, or danced to, in a public setting for nearly 40 years!
Bruce and members of his band have played with the Soloman Douglas Swingtet for AZ Lindy Hop events at the Wrigley Mansion.
