Sleeping with the Fishes

After the loss of her husband, the broke and broken-hearted Alexis Rodriguez returns to her Latino/Jewish Brooklyn home and her comic book obsessed sister's offer to work as a party planner on a super-hero themed Bat Mitzvah. Not exactly the answer to her goals of starting a new life, Alex does however begin a promising new romance, as well as coming to terms with her dysfunctionally funny family. Starring Gina Rodriguez (Filly Brown) and Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids), this comically poignant story features an incredible Latino case of establishing and rising talent.
Director Nicole Gomez Fisher will be present at the screening.
