Because I Love You/A Quiet Desperation explores the African mother's experience with the 'other' through the theme of foreign adoption and through the style of myth, magic and ritual; utilizing a unique blend of text, sound, movement and visual imagery.
Set inside the St. Lawrence Hall, Because I Love You/A Quiet Desperation is the second of a trilogy of multidisciplinary site specific projects exploring the idea of 'otherness' from the African perspective.
