Intro to HVAC

Come and learn about your heating system and get ready for the cold. It's been said before, but is still true: winter is coming. Our crack HVAC tech will go over routine maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of common issues in the heating systems most often found in Philly homes. We'll cover what to look for in a visual inspection, forced air, steam and hot water radiator systems, filter changes, pilot lights, thermocouples, and more. Plus bring any specific questions you have and we'll do our best to answer them - please bring photos when possible to aid in assesssing the issue.

The cost of the class is based on a sliding scale between $20 and $40. Please consider paying more to cover the costs of hosting this class, if you are able.

Cancellations and Refunds: If you have signed up for a class but are unable to attend, please email josh@westphillytools.org to cancel your enrollment. For cancellation requests received at least one week before the class, we will either issue a credit towards a future class, or refund the full ticket price, less service fees collected by BrownPaperTickets (typically $2.50 - $4 per ticket). We are unable to guarantee credit or refunds for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the date of the class, although we will do our best to accommodate late cancellations if we are able to fill your spot. Tickets are transferable; please notify us at josh@westphillytools.org prior to the class if someone else will be attending in your stead and provide the attendees name and email address.
