Magical Negro Speaks
Magical Negro Speaks is a monthly one man show starring comedian and storyteller Jamil Ellis. Through monologues, videos, stories, and songs, he gives voice to one of Hollywood and TV's favorite tropes - the Magical Negro. Along the way he explores the real effects of racial and gender stereotypes on the ways in which we perceive the world around us, and the ways in which technology and the internet magnify these effects.
