Anxiety and Depression in Teens presented by: Laura Basso Ramos, M.A., CADC Addiction Counselor
Most mental health professionals agree the COVID pandemic caused a national mental helath crisis, with the effects being particularly acute among our young people. When it comes to adolescents, it's not always easy to distinguish between "normal teenage angst" and concerning behaviors that require intervention. Participants will learn about current statistics and trends in teen mental health, treatment options, and how we effectively support teens and substance use disorder.
Objectives:
Gain an understanding of family systems
Learn about boundaries and how to help families set and keep them
Utilize different evidence-based modalities when treating families
