Taiko Aerobic Series #1: ABS Workout
The style of drumming for the ABS workout is from our group repertoire called "Gen" meaning, from origin. This style requires the drummer to sit on the ground of a giant cart originally used for the Gion Festival for well over 1,000 years in the Gion Festival. It is the oldest recorded piece in Japanese history as part of the omatsuri (festival) tradition. Gion festival originated during the great epidemic in the old capital, Kyoto.
An intense 30 minute afternoon session we will quietly play this style during lunchtime! Come join us and be re-energized for your day!
