Girls Inc. of the Island City's Women Who Dare Event
Our largest annual fundraiser, the Women Who Dare Awards celebrates women and teens making a difference in our community.
This year Girls Inc. of the Island City celebrates 50 years of inspiring girls to be STRONG, SMART, AND BOLD by paying tribute to former participants who represent five decades of our history: Nancy Brownson DeRoche, Julie Stonehouse, Angie Carmignani, Jasmine Walls, and Anjuli Sastry. We also recognize current participant Luna Cristales, who will lead us into the future.
All proceeds from the event support Girls Inc. of the Island City's important programs and life changing experiences that build self-confidence and self-esteem in girls of all ages.
Schedule of Events:
11:00 a.m. Wine reception and prize drawing
11:45-2:00 p.m. Lunch and program
Tickets may also be purchased by mailing a check payable to Girls Inc. of the Island City to 1724 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda, CA 94501. Please include your contact information with payment.
