About
(177 min. incl. a 7-minute intermission, in Korean with English subtitles)

Paris, Late 19th century. Gifted with musical genius and cursed with a monstrous face, Erik lives in hiding deep in the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera House. When he hears Christine Daaés angelic voice, he is determined to make her the new diva. Carlotta, the opera houses resident diva, is overcome with jealousy and devises a plan to ruin Christines debut performance. In a rage, Erik takes his revenge upon Carlotta, setting in motion a series of events that leads to the revelation of his past and his tragic demise.

Featuring K-Pop sensation Super Juniors Kyuhyun, world renowned soprano Sunhae Im and world-class ballerina Joowon Kim, this lavish Korean production of Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopits Phantom is an eye-dazzling, ear-pleasing take on Gaston Lerouxs 1910 novel.

Accessibility

Ticketing, concessions, cinemas, restrooms, and our public edit lab are located on Northwest Film Forum's ground floor, which is wheelchair accessible. We have a limited number of assistive listening devices available for programs hosted in our larger theater, Cinema 1. These devices are maintained by the Technical Director, and can be requested at the ticketing and concessions counter. The Forum does NOT have assistive devices for the visually impaired, and is not (yet) a scent-free venue. Our commitment to increasing access for our audiences is ongoing, and we welcome all public input on the subject! If you have additional specific questions about accessibility at our venue, please contact our Patron Services Manager at maria@nwfilmforum.org
