Burlesque Performance 101

This is for students who want to learn how to create and perform a solo burlesque act complete with a stage name and costume! This 6 week workshop includes guest teachers from the Tucson burlesque community and culminates with a student recital. Topics covered will include:

Burlesque History
Costume Creation
Choreography
Musicality
Stage Makeup and Hair
Performance Quality

Tuition includes an hour-long private lesson with Fanny Galore

Although there are no pre-requisites, it is strongly recommended that you take Burlesque FUNdamentals and/or Beg/Int Burlesque prior to performance classes.

While burlesque superstars make performing look easy, the work put into their performance is extremely time-consuming. We have a limited amount of class time and in order to meet deadlines and standards, much of your work will be done on on your own time. Students are expected to do homework each week, applying lessons and critiques, and return to the following week's workshop with new material.

Attendance at all classes is mandatory (emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis).

Students are responsible for the cost of creating their own costume in addition to the workshop price.

Cancellation Policies:
If your class is cancelled by the instructor, your payment will be refunded in full as soon as possible. Deposits/registrations are otherwise non-refundable. If you've pre-paid a class or deposit, are unable to attend, and give at least 10 days notice, your tuition may be transferred towards another class by emailing fannygalore@ymail.com. Tuition is non-transferable in the 9 days before a class starts. There are no refunds or makeup classes for absences.
